The main goal of the diploma thesis is to prepare a plan for information system modernization with use of project management for HARTMANN-RICO company. This task is going to be solved with use of critical analysis and project management. The result is going to be detailed plan of the project with all necessary prerequisites including economical evaluation. Based on which management will make a decision about acual project realisation.

Thesis "OLYMPUS E510 Digital Cameras Simulator and Trainer" is possible to divide into 3 parts - general, specific and conclusion. Introductory general part aims to describe Olympus E510 camera - all it's modes' operation is described in a form of a brief manual. Next segment of the general part deals with the technologies used for the implementation, mainly from Adobe. The second, specific part deals with the specifics of the implementation of the Olympus E510 camera simulator, based on the knowledge contained in the first part of the work. The paper is concluded by the evaluation of the implementation from the viewpoint of usage of the specific technology, and compared with possible alternatives, with advantages/disadvantages being highlihted.

Modul do aplikácie Lightroom na rozpoznávanie tváre a orezavanie fotografie

The aim of this work is to design and implement a module for automatic photo cropping in the application Lightroom CC from the company Adobe Inc. The introductory part of the work is devoted to the theoretical analysis of the process and comparison of available technologies. The following sections describe the design, implementation and testing of the module. The result of the work is a module executable in the Lightroom application, which can automatically recognize the face and crop the photo according to the specified parameters. The resulting module also contains a database of countries, according to which it crops photos needed for visas when entering the country.

The splendors and miseries of DTP: desktop publishing and common practice of Czech publishing houses

Diploma thesis Te splendors and miseries of DTP: desktop publishing and common practice of Czech publishing houses tries to map the current technical and personnel aspect of the DTP departments within Czech publishing houses. It uses a quantitative method of questionnaire survey. In the practical part of the research, it managed to obtain data from nine of the ten selected publishers. It was chosen on the basis of their readership with the help of data from the Union of Publishers. Undoubtedly, the main contribution of this thesis is the topic itself - text focuses on a group of media professionals, who are crucial for proper functioning of the print media, although it is constantly overlooked by academia. Tis diploma thesis does not bring any revolutionary knowledge about the feld of print media in the Czech Republic, although with the obtained data it is possible to at least partially analyze jobs and style of work of media professionals in DTP departments. Te work is a small quantitative contribution to the academic discussion, which unfortunately is not currently taking place, although it should.

Differences between user interface design tools

This thesis describes the difference between graphic editors, which are used by designers while creating design of user interfaces. In first part of this thesis are defined principles of good user interface design, which should designer follow. In next part are described differences between vector and bitmap images. In practical part are compared functions of four graphic editors. In conclusion is created table summary of these functions.

The Bachelor's thesis is dealing with creation of digital interactive visualisa- tion of the RWE customer centre in Brno with settlement on the Plynárenská 499/1 Street. Thesis processes the theme of the contribution of the virtual tours and its perception by the customers. Thesis also analyses the problems of creation of these inspections and the interaction possibilities in them. Element of the thesis is the technical solution description which is used in the creation. The work output is set right on the basis of the company RWE demands.

Cyclic loading of masonry walls and its anti seismic reinforcing

The damage of structural masonry walls is one of the most widespread harming injuries and cause of loss of serviceability and seismic capacity for a building. Therefore a research into possibilities which would improve these characteristics have been carried out within the 7th EC Framework programme project NIKER. The retrofitting approach is constrained by conservation requirements of minimum interventions which should not severely change the structural behavior and the structural appearance, and should prefer solutions without a necessity of total structural disassembling. This artikle provides an overview about the research that led to applications of the steel wire ropes and geo-nets ontoadobe brick walls.
